19-Year-Old Moses Itauma, who many call a “future world champion”, is set to spar with legend Tyson Fury in his Malta training camp.
According to Sky Sports, the youngster is set to arrive in the coming days and is expected to train with the heavyweight champion for about three weeks.
The Nigerian-Slovakian boxer mirrors the UK champion’s undefeated status with a stellar record of 10-0, and he’s not even in his 20s yet!
The training will aid Itauma in honing his skills with his idol in the lead up to the December rematch in Saudi Arabia, where he’ll step up against Demsey McKean at the Usyk-Fury undercard.
However, this isn’t the first time Itauma and Fury crossed paths, as the young fighter has been at many training camps with the champion many times in the past.
“I’ve got my own fight to think about,” Itauma told the news portal, “We’re kind of similar styles, the likes of me and Usyk, we’ve kind of got a similar style so I feel like I’ll be very beneficial for Fury.”
With only two months to go to the highly-anticipated rematch, the world is watching as up-and-comers like Itauma prepare to shine at the high stakes event.
