The Maltese National Kickboxing Team has secured the gold at the ISKA World Championship in Vienna, Austria, this weekend.
The event saw the participation of 35 nations with an incredible number of 1,070 kickboxers.
Despite the mass competition, the team acquired a staggering 13 medals including four gold, three silver and six bronze. Their accomplishments landed Malta in the number 14 spot among 35 nations, moving up in the overall rankings from previous years.
At the high-level event, President of the Malta Kickboxing Association (MKBA), Isaac Chetcuti, announced that the next ISKA European Championship 2025 will take place on our very own island, following the team’s exceptional performance and the nation’s dedication to the sport.
In an official statement, Chetcuti, on behalf of the MKBA, congratulated all of the Maltese fighters on their outstanding performance throughout the three-day competition and further extended his gratitude for the incredible job done by the team’s coaches.
Well done to the Malta Kickboxing National Team and we wish them luck representing Malta on our own turf next year!
