Last Sunday, the historic Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar provided a stunning venue for the grand debut of DaintyVintage.com, the latest venture by Maltese entrepreneurs and fashion aficionados Kelly Pisani and Lexi Borg.
Founded by Ms Pisani in 2020, Dainty Vintage began as a passion project and has since grown into a comprehensive online platform that offers an exclusive selection of vintage apparel and accessories from the iconic ’90s and 2000s eras. Their guiding principle—to seduce with style—embodies their mission to blend the timeless appeal of vintage fashion with a modern, sophisticated edge.
Malta’s first vintage fashion show delights over 150 guests
After the opening ceremony and welcome drinks, DJ Nagem Gatt set the tone for the evening, complementing the relaxed atmosphere of the historical Palazzo. Soon after, 18 models took to the runway, showcasing hundreds of different styles, ranging from the playful Coquette aesthetic and Fairycore vibes to the nostalgic memories of Y2K fashion.
To capture the essence of the evening, photographers Lindsey Bahia and Dean Bartolo were on hand, making sure that all of the most important moments of the evening were recorded successfully.
The event was further complemented with Jeanine Vella’s own take on a Dainty Vintage-themed dessert. The heart-shaped cake, complemented by cupcakes, added a sweet finish to the evening’s festivities.
To celebrate the brand’s launch, all of the clothing featured in the fashion show, along with 300 other unique items, will be available on the website DaintyVintage.com this Sunday.
Powered by Shopify, the site integrates seamlessly with Stripe, PayPal, and SSL security, ensuring a smooth shopping experience when it goes live on the 8th of September at midnight.
In closing, Pisani and Borg revealed their upcoming plans: a series of Vintage Pop-Up stores across Malta, aimed at introducing the brand to new audiences and strengthening its presence in key fashion districts.
“We’re focused on building brand recognition and growing our community of vintage lovers, and with that in mind, the upcoming Pop-Up stores across Malta will be the perfect stepping stones as we prepare for our international launch,” shared Lexi Borg, co-founder and Creative Director of Dainty Vintage.
The inaugural pop-up will take place this Sunday, the 8th of September, at 10 AM at the Balluta Square, with more locations to follow.
