This morning’s heavy downpour caused disruptions across the island, with some areas experiencing significant rainfall.

Msida recorded 15.4mm of rain, the highest in the last 24 hours, according to Malta International Airport.

While no more rain is expected today, a yellow warning for strong West Northwest winds, later shifting to Northwest, is in effect until 10pm tonight.

Despite the downpour, temperatures are currently at 30°C, feeling like 33°C.

Images from Arnold’s Citizen Watch show the Kalkara Coast flooded as well water pouring down onto Qormi Road in Luqa.

Another photo taken near Valletta Waterfront in Floriana, posted on the group Are You Being Served Malta? shows the pavement completely flooded as the water made it difficult to distinguish between the road and pavement.

The final photo captured bus commuters seeking shelter from the downpour at the Bombi bus stop in Floriana earlier this morning.
