These are investment purchases, undoubtedly, but already they are paying dividends. It’s likely that the Duchess has had the opportunity to invest in her work wardrobe since becoming the Duchess of Edinburgh. While, with the King and the Princess of Wales out of action while receiving cancer treatment, she’s had to step up as a senior royal. Having the right attire to meet every potential dress code is key.
“She looked very up to date, very stylish and coordinated,” says image consultant Annabel Hodin. “She knew what shape would flatter her figure and this created a pretty silhouette – by adding a belt she enhanced it even more.”
