Friday is set to be a busy day for Floriana FC as the 360 Sports Malta Premier winners are set to announce a number of signings ahead of the start of the Closing Round.

The Greens have been very active in the transfer market as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the Closing Round which could see them be crowned champions if they manage to repeat their performance in the Opening Round and place in top spot.

Floriana are expect to announce the acquisition of Argentine left back Gonzalo Gamarra and Colombian midfielder Jerk Becerra.

Gamarra is not not a new face in Maltese football. The 25-year-old had a spell with Senglea Athletic between 2018 and 2019 before moving to Swiss side FC Chiasso and Croatian clubs Slaven Belupo and Inter Zapresic.

In 2023, he returned to his homeland where he played with Argentine club CA Guemes.

On the other hand, Jork Becerra is a 26-year-old Colombian midfielder who will be making his first appearance in Maltese football.

Becerra spent the majority of his career in Colombia where he donned the colours of Fortaleza, Zamora FC and Real Cartagena among others.

However, last July he moved to Macedonian top-flight side Brera Strumica where he made 11 appearances and provided one assist.

Sources have also told the Times of Malta that Floriana are set to sign a top Lithuanian defender.

The defender is seen as a major coup for Floriana as the player boasts over 300 matches in the Lithuanian top flight and is a Lithuania international.
